Driving Test Centres: Convenient Locations for Success

Pass in Days specializes in intensive driving courses, designed to help learners pass their practical driving test swiftly. Our primary focus is on driving lessons in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Bristol and Exeter. We provide the convenience of picking you up from your home and preparing for passing your test in the local driving test centres, making your learning experience as seamless as possible.

Hassle-Free Booking and Instructor Access

Booking your course with us is straightforward, either online or over the phone. While the registered Pass in Days office is in Glasgow, our dedicated team works from various locations. Lessons are conducted in the instructors’ vehicles, providing a practical and authentic on-road experience. Every course includes one practical driving test, and we start arranging it as soon as you pass your theory test. Despite long waiting lists, we secure tests approximately 90% faster, typically within 1-2 weeks after course completion (subject to being safe and ready).

Driving Course + Test in Aberdeen

In Aberdeen, we prepare you for driving tests at the Aberdeen North (Bridge of Don) and Aberdeen Cove DVSA driving test centres. We offer crash courses both for manual and automatic transmission.

For manual transmission, we offer home pick up from Aberdeen City, Cove and Bridge of Don. Additionally, we might be able to pick you up from Portlethen, Stonehaven, Westhill, Blackburn, Balmedie, Montrose, Forfar, Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Macduff, Banff and Turriff. However, please be aware that waiting times for a course might be longer in these areas.

For automatic transmission driving courses, we cover Aberdeen City, Cove, Bridge of Don. Additionally, we might be able to pick you up from Portlethen, Stonehaven, Westhill, Blackburn, Balmedie Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff.

Check our booking calendar for details.

Driving Course + Test in Glasgow

In Glasgow, we get you ready for DVSA driving test centres like Dumbarton, Bishopbriggs, Paisley, Shieldhall and Anniesland – Shieldhall and Anniesland being the closest to the City Centre. Our instructors, familiar with specific areas of Glasgow, ensure you’re well-prepared for the local routes and test centres.

We make an effort to use the test centre closest to the client’s address, which is why our booking calendar is marked with specific locations. Glasgow, being a large city, is home to many of our instructors who typically concentrate on a single area. This specialization allows them to become highly familiar with the local test centres and their routes.

In our booking calendar, you’ll find available pick-up locations listed alongside the dates, covering areas such as Central Glasgow (plus areas within a 10-minute drive considered part of Central Glasgow), Paisley, Dumbarton, Clydebank, Hamilton, Baillieston, Bishopbriggs, Motherwell, along with several other locations.

The booking calendar will clearly display the precise location available for each date.

Driving Course + Driving Test in Exeter

In Exeter, we focus on the main driving test centre. We offer driving courses for both manual and automatic transmission, with home pick-up options within Exeter and nearby areas for your convenience.

Exeter DVSA Driving Test Centre location (marked with red/yellow diamond)

For driving courses in Exeter, we have a team of dedicated instructors who offer the convenience of picking you up from your home in Exeter, or any location within a 10-minute drive of the city. Additionally, they can meet you near the Exeter driving test centre, specifically at Exeter – Marsh Barton – EX2 8FS. For those living outside Exeter, it’s necessary to travel into the city to meet your instructor. However, we can arrange pickups from Exeter’s bus stops or train stations for added convenience. Furthermore, we offer the option to learn and take your test in Newton Abbot, though this may involve a longer waiting period. For those interested in automatic gearbox courses, we provide these in Newton Abbot, as well as in Exmouth and Exeter East.

Driving Course + Driving Test in Bristol

Our driving course in Bristol is available for both manual and automatic learners. We prepare you for the Kingswood or Avonmouth test centre, depending on your location and preference, and we can pick you up from home within 15 mins of each area.

We also cover Chippenham as an additional option, though it has a longer waiting period (approx. 6 weeks). Our instructor based in Chippenham usually picks students up from the Sainsbury’s car park.

Which test centre is the best?

Here are some pass rates at various DVSA test centres for your reference (data from April/May/June 2023):

  • Aberdeen North: 43.1%
  • Aberdeen South: 53.1%
  • Glasgow Anniesland: 43.1%
  • Baillieston: 45.9%
  • Shieldhall: 39.4%
  • Paisley: 48.1%

But don’t let statistics dictate your choice of driving test centre!

Also, keep in mind that you don’t always have to focus on location. Sometimes time is the most important factor, and that’s where intensive courses, such as those offered by Pass in Days, come in handy. If you wish to complete your driving course and sit your practical driving test as soon as possible, just choose the earliest slot on our booking calendar, and meet the instructor in the available area. You may need to travel to meet the instructor, but they can pick you up from a bus stop or train station in each of the cities we cover.

Choose Pass in Days for Confidence and Skill

At Pass in Days, we pride ourselves on having a team of calm, experienced instructors tailored to meet a variety of learning needs. Should you prefer a female instructor, we happily accommodate this request in all our locations – just mention it when booking your course.

Our goal at Pass in Days is not just to help you pass the test but to become a skilled and confident driver. Our crash courses are tailored to the specific routes of each test centre, ensuring you’re well-prepared and confident on your test day.
